Just a few months ago, I sat with Hebrews 12:2 and pondered the possible “joys” that could draw, even drive, Jesus to the cross. He didn’t do it for fame, though His is one of the most well-known names in history. It certainly wasn’t immediate pleasure or a fortune in a bank account; His garment was gambled away at the foot of the Roman cross!
Some tell us there are three motives for crimes: money, sex, and power.
Jesus committed no crimes and yet…
Jesus did become
The Most Powerful Person
because of
His Love for us.
The Most Powerful Person in the Universe,
– enthroned next to His Holy and Loving Father,
– making it so captives to sin can be free from it forever,
– building a God-loving Family to join Him in
– glorifying the Father in everything
for the Father’s JOY!
